Delicious traditional Mexican food flavors. Quality service by an owner that cares about his business and a surprisingly quaint old mexico ambiance makes this a little gem of Pasadena I'm glad to finally discover! First, unless you know -East Pasadena, you'll never see this place. I've driven by hundreds of times never knowing. My coworker told me there's a great non "foo-foo" Mexican spot with great salsa we could go to. I agreed and we ended up here! I got the wet burrito and it was delicious. Well done (literally) carne asada with great flavors. The sauce was tasty. The chips fresh made and flavorful. Great salsas. Their crunchy tacos look delicious and of course taquitos were on point. I will be going again. Get it!

I had the pozole ($13.95) and my husband had the Chile relleno platter ($13.95). Both dishes were very authentic and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Good atmosphere. We were on travel and my husband remarked that if we lived in the area, he wouldn't mind coming once a week!

This place is a gem in Pasadena. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and had an amazing time. The service was great with plentiful refills of chips and salsa, the friendly staff and the delicious food. We also accompanied our meals with beers...they were so cold and refreshing in the midst of another heat wave in Pasadena. If you come here, your belly will leave very full.

I think one of the best Mexican joints in Pasadena. Super friendly owners and staffs. They dish up some good Mexican and great chips and salsa. Family run business so sometimes they close early (because they can!) we like this place for breakfast with its Huevos rancheros and for lunch. Cerveza too. You always see the cops and fire peeps here or taking out that just says it's good! Some seafood mostly shrimp but their carne asada and carnitas are good!

Great food, Great service. I had the King combo with carnitas. Delicious great recommendation from the boss man himself. Had the mango drink not too sweet not watery. Just right. Thank you sir.

We looked up Mexican and hopped in the car and followed Google Maps across the street from our hotel. LOL. Excellent. All three of us ended up ordering enchiladas and we were satisfied and happy. The chips are good. Salsa not too spicy. The decor is fantastic. Nice people. Really worth the drive. ;-)

Dropped into Chiquita Bonita for breakfast around 9:30am, though they open up at 8. It's a family-run Mexican place in Pasadena, pretty solid spot to grab a meal. Staff's nice and on top of things without making a fuss. The portions here don't mess around - we ended up packing up leftovers almost every time. I went with the "mom's pozole" and my son got the chorizos and eggs with avocado. Both did the job well, filling without being over the top. Finding a spot to park wasn't a hassle, plenty of space on the street plus they've got this small lot out back.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon, and this appetizer sampler was great, compared to a lot of the other appetizer samplers Mexican restaurants offer this one is delicious, and great value for the price. The lady waitress was kind and on it. Restaurant is small and if you don't know about it you'll pass right by the parking lot. My parents like coming here after church and it's still as good as when I came with them. Restaurant is bright and colorful.
